So, the past few days I have had the pleasure to explore Northern Italy. Our first stop was in Venice which we stayed there for two days and one night. It is an amazingly beautiful city and St. Mark's Sqaure was gorgeous with the ocean being right there and also the St. Mark's Bascillica almost on the shore line. The line was too long to go in but I took some super cool pictures of the outside! It was super crowded when we were there. It felt like walking through Chicago to me. We went on a gondola ride which was pretty cool and I'm not typically a boat person. We walked over 8 miles one of the days and just ventured around all the little alley ways and different side streets. It's definitely something I would recommend people to check out. On our way to our next destination, we stopped in Verona, Italy. It is home to the Romeo and Juliet story and a super cool colloseum. We stopped and looked at the famous balcony from the balcony scene in romeo and juliet and then went into this old arena where gladiators used to fight. It was cool but would have been cooler if people weren't setting up for a concert in there as you will see in my pictures. Now, we are in Valgatara, Italy which is close to Lake Garda. Lots and lots of vineyards surround us. Today, we went to this small city called Sirmione. Lynn has been there. There's a huge castle and cute little shops everywhere. Not nearly as crowded as venice. We still have three full days left here and we plan on doing a beach day, winery tour, and a boat tour along the lake so I will keep you guys posted. My laptop charger doesn't fit into the certain outlets at the hotel so I might have to wait and post again until we get back to Germany on Sunday. Hope all is well with everyone! Love you and miss you!
