Left London Heathrow friday 1st March at 10:00 AM changed flight after 10 hours at Mumbai continuing on to Hong Kong on a 5 hour flight then proceeding to get on numerous amounts of trains -I'm not exaggerating there were many (although 1 was my fault for getting on the wrong 1) finally reaching China: Shenzhen 22hours later...aka exhausted!
Hong kong from what i could see out of the window is exactly like London everywhere you look theres a crane, something is being built and they even drive on the same side of the road!... only difference between the London and Hong Kong is people actually talk to each other on trains... and of course the deep fried bugs which currently still remain unconquered.
China however was a big culture shock, besides my hotel NOONE speaks any english. I saw lots of clusters of people gathered on pavements playing cards and many people are wearing masks.
On the whole despite being grouchy i am enjoying it so far.
The bag I packed is very heavy but I cant bear to lose what i believe are essential items! so my sister has asked me to keep track of the items i end up ditching along the way... So far luggage inventory is 100% full, hence why in the picture i am leant forward to prevent myself toppling backwards!
Thank you for all the good luck messages il keep everyone posted.
Xx

Jade Have a great time! Glad you got there safe, keep us updated! Xxx
Nicola Soooooo glad to hear you arrived safely. From the sound of it trains were hard - but probably one of the hardest things you'll have to do on your trip when you consider conditions (tired and confused after all the flying). Cant wait to hear more. Mum said your hotel is stunning. Make sure you take lots of photographs! Hope you have a good evening and feel a bit more settled. Glad to hear inventory is 100% still. Was the backpack easier than wheels? Oh and if anyones interested im willing to take bets on the first thing you ditch - my moneys on the hairdryer. Xxx
Mum Stanley Wow! You made it bag and all. I am sure you will be tasting the food soon. Don't forget to make a note of any recipes for future use.
