Well, this is my final blog entry. Im back in the Uk an although its great to be back and see everyone, it feels like i havent been away! great to have my sis back at home though. this weather is pants though!
the flights home were good but tiring, as we were travelling for 24 hours. we arrived at bangkok airport 4 hours early as we expected it to take longer to get there than it did. its a good thing that we did as when we went to check in we were told that my ticket home had been cancelled! i couldnt believe it! because i didnt take my schedueled flight from sri lanka, they cancelled the rest of my ticket! so we spent about 2 hours panicking and trying to sort it out. luckily in the end they said they could put me on the flight and managed to get me on all the flights back to the uk that i should have been on. but they only confirmed this at half 8 and our flight was leaving and 9:15! after a mad dash through the airport (including a comedy moment when my shoe came flying off and i considered not going back to get it cos we were in such a hurry!) we made it onto the plane to find that they had double booked our seats! we were stood there hoping that they were going to put us in first class but no, we should be so lucky, they moved the people already in our seats! dammit! we were just happy to be on the flight though, and from there on we had a pleasant and stress free journey.
it was great to get home and see everyone. i got home to discover that my car is even more battered than it previously was (yes i know, i didnt think it was possible either) but still running - hooray! not driven it yet though. had a great afternoon with helen in the pub and a lovely home cooked meal then showed everyone my photos. slept well and think i have managed to combat my jetlag by getting up at 6. i have got all my info on uni and am really looking forward to starting next week, its going to be great.
well i guess this is officially the end of my journey. i have had a great few months and its totally set me up for the next stage of my life. without getting all deep and mushy i've really learnt alot about myself and feel very content. im so excited to move in with darren due to the great month we spent together and uni is going to be great.
