Well today was our last dayi n Beijing. and what better way to spend it than having a Korean wedding! We headed out this morning down the main strait where we got pounced upon by a group of about 8 koreans asking us to help them. they were all in suits and very excited and hyperactive. thinking it was just some sort of survey (and theyoffered us a free gift) we decided to say yes. the next thing we know they have put a flower garland round darrens neck and a veil on me, and they are singing 'how deep is your love' to us on the street. We were like what the hell is going on?!?! it was sooooooo random!!!! next they took photos of us and gave us a pair of korean wedding dolls and a polaroid of our special day. we still have no idea what was going on, it was all pretty surreal!!! there were like 30 people crowded round us but it was too confusing to be embarrased really! very very bizzare.
next we headed to tianamen square and managed to offload our tacky dolls onto a little girl! we took some photos and then went to a lake nearby for a nice lunch and a stroll round the hutongs and area. it was a really nice way to finish off our time here. now we are about to go to the train station where we take an overnight train to Xi'an where the terracotta warriers are.(or as i called them by mistake, the terracota worriers! haha!)
