Tonight we are camping out in the Spitzkope dessert. The place we're staying is in the middle of huge rock formations, which we all climbed up to watch the sun set when we arrived, which coloured them the most amazing shades of red and orange. At night, the stars are the brightest I've ever seen- there's just no natural light here to block them out. We all lay on the rocks and just watched the stars, trying to name constellations but quite a few of them are different to ones at home. We saw the milky way, and we think we saw Venus but no one really knows. The next morning we went on a hike to see the Bushman paintings, painted by members of the Sun tribe 2-4 thousand years ago, and our guide tried to teach us to talk in their language, which uses clicks, but we were all hopeless!
