The following day we set off for the Brazilian side of the falls. Wheras on the Argentinian side you get right up to the falls, on the Brazilian side you´re further away but you get a better view of them as a whole. Once we reached the park (already aware of how different Portuguese is to Spanish!) we set off on a double decker tour bus which took us to the start of the trail. There we had the most amazing views of the waterfalls across on the far side of the gorge which marks the border between the two countries. At the end of the walk was another long walkway, right into the Devil´s Throat Canyon, but this time lower- so you feel like you´re inside the falls, rather than looking down on them. As it was a sunny day, unlike our day at the Argentinian side, we got to see all the 'waterfall rainbows' in the spray and mist, which make the whole experience even more incredible. When we´d finally had enough at the viewing platform, we headed to the observation deck, where an elevator took us up to a view point above the falls for another great vista. In the early afternoon we caught our bus back to Argentina, marvelling at how the two different sides of the falls give you such completely different experiences and arguing over which was better. The rest of the day was spent sunbathing again, and tomorrow I catch my bus to Salta, near to the Bolivian border (a twenty six hour journey!)
