hello people...
we have some good news, we've sorted out the card and put the pics onto disc so we can upload them
so we'll get as much up as possible. so anyway moving on so we are still in Nha Trang but we are off
to Ho Chi Minh city on the train tonight. Its been good here so far as you probably know we went
scuba diving yesterday...it was awesome. Honestly soooo good we both are thinking about getting our certificates
we did 2 dives the four of us and to be honest we were all a little bit nervous and the first time you go down in
the water you get scared because you have to breath with the oxygen tank which was weird at first but then you got used to it
honestly the waters were so clear and we saw so many different types of sea creatures. We werent able to take any pictures under
water but if you're curious to know what it looked like type 'nha trang scuba diving vietnam' into google images and you
can see what it looked like. One of the best experiences so far. Yeah so we've done loads in Vietnam
but we haven't really described what so far. Ok so we went to halong bay and hopefully the pics are up but
if not basically it was beautiful. We went on a boat and to some caves which were huge, we also visited some floating villages honestly
it was unreal people actually live there (including dogs) so yeah we were sailing around for the day taking in the views
then we landed on an island called catba. After a fairly long drive we ended up at our hotel which was really nice,
had dinner then some bia hoi (20p per pint lol) then to bed for an early rise and trek. The trek was also amazing
very, very hard work walking up a huge mountain but the views once we were at the top were phenominal. we have never sweated
so much in our lives haha. Then afterwards it was time to spend another day on the boat just lazing around and
loving the view was pretty much what we did...but this perticular night we were staying on the boat . Again we were
very impressed with the accomodation. So yeah when night fell we played some cards and had drinks and chatter on top
of the boat, then off to bed. then it was back to hanoi to catch the sleeper bus to HUe. this was such a chilled out place
compared to the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We had a look round the city and again this place was stunning. The next
day we went and visited the DMZ which is the demilatirized zones. Which is basically to do with the vietnam war...we travelled
alot of the country and went to a couple of museums which was really interesting learned alot. Then we went to the tunnels
again which definatley were something...I mean people lived in them and fought from them for years and they are tiny.
It was really good although sam couldnt go down and he gets a little claustrauphobic. The next day we left Hue and
came here. So after dad and dave leave us in ho chi minh we are off to the island phu quoc but dont worry we'll keep you updated with
blogs and pics. So we hope everybody is good back at home and we are really excited to see you all...still time to go though :)
miss you all and wish you were here love sam and alice xxxx
ps we'll try and keep the website updated as much as poss
