well hello,

we have finally arrived in mumbai and as our first day it has definatley been an eye opener. we got to the hotel fine last night with the satisfaction of seeing a cow in the middle of the main road haha and the hotels pretty nice quite near victoria terminus which today we got our first taste of about ten people trying to sell us 'cheaper' train tickets we were patient at first telling them no after they told us what they were selling but as the day has gone on its a basic no thankyou and walk away. also everyone is amazed by sams ears lol so much so we landed here and it was 5 minutes before somebody asked him about them now everyone we walk past are staring and whispering to each other :). we've decided to change our plans for india. in a few days we'll be getting the train down to Goa and Kerala and then we are going to visit the north after that because we figure its more sensible to do the south and then go north rather than going back and forwards. mumbai is definatley getting better as the day goes on as we feel alot more comfortable with our surroundings. we saw the gateway to india today which was amazing also the taj mahal hotel which is now closed due to the shootings late last year. weve just been looking about really so tomorrow we might have a look at chowpatty beach and just see what takes us from there. well we are off now to go to the supermarket soooo its a drink and watching the sunset tonight on our balcony we will keep in touch as much as we can...even though it has taken many attempts to find this hidden cafe well if u can call it that lol ok speak to yas soon miss u all millions alice and sam xxxxxx
