Hello! Arrived in Bangkok on Thursday evening after a stopover in Mumbai. I can't say im a fan of Mumbai, the airport staff were pretty scary and there was a guy with an ak47 at the bit where they search your hand luggage! Bangkok airport was lovely in contrast and I didn't even have to wait to pick up my bag. The flat we are staying in with Josh's family is lovely too! Bangkok is pretty crazy and there are so many skyscrapers its unbelievable. I had been feeling pretty ill until today so we hadn't been out much - only for short walks to get food. We ate at cabbages & condoms on the first night and the papaya salad was insanely hot - i thought i could cope with spice but obviously not (this is thai food!) so i had to resort to eating various sandwiches the next day. This morning i felt much better so we ventured on the skytrain to chatuchak market - which is crazy of course! They have pretty much everything you could want including live animals (the kittens were adorable). I bought a watch, sunglasses and a fan all for less than 4 pounds but even that was probably a rip off! Still i am proud that we managed to do a bit of bartering So far weather has been okay, not sunny but it only rained in the early morning - although the thunder was pretty loud! Hopefully we will visit some temples tomorrow and start deciding where to go after Bangkok! xx

Lisa Hahaha love it...try and keep this updated! Its really good. This is thai food! You can't make this!!!! So glad you've been to the market, told you that you could buy everything out there!!! Enjoy the temples - if you get on the boat get on the normal boat that the thai people take not the tourist one - they will rip you off!! Or just walk/take bus. So excited for you but wish i was there!! xx
