Icy strait point
Holy crap yesdterday was both delecious and terrifying!
No we didn't run into a bear... Calm down moms. Lol
We went on a fun excursion where we got to cook our own salmon and halibut on an open firepit! The leader lady filet a fresh, not frozen, 2 day old king salmon. Alaskans can only catch so many of this kind, so it never really makes it to other states. Sorry.
But, YUM was it delicious!!! It didn't even taste fishy at all and was really juicy. They also gave us recipie cards!
After that we walked around the little town of Hoonah and bought ca pin for my collection.
The last thing we got to do was go on the worlds longest zip-line!!!!!
It's 5,330 ft. long with a 1,300 ft. vertical drop! I was terrified needless to say, but I had to go or Peter would of made fun of me. Lol
It was awesome!! There wasn't a scary drop, it just went crazy fast!
How fast? 60 MPH FAST!
After the first 20 seconds I calmed down and opened my eyes and it was actually really beautiful. We zipped down towards the harbor above the giant trees. The worst part was the anticipation, it always gets me.
Last night was formal night and we got to eat lobster! We're getting spoiled and don't want to come back to the real world. It's so pretty and relaxing here.
Today is Ketchikan!
Lumberjacks and totem poles.
