Hi everyone,
its chris writing this, this time.
we are currently in cambridge trying to soak up some of the intelligence here. last night, we were in Nowrich, staying at one of mum's oldest friends. who were so hospitable as we had one of the best meals we have had for a while, and def nicest shower and bed. saw nowrich, which is their closest city today which was beautiful, especially the cathedral and cobblestone lanes. had a great time.
before nowrich we stayed in oxford, which was good fun being the university town it of course is. the buildings were beautiful and we toured a few of the colleges.
before oxford we spent two nights in brighton, on englands south coast. a typical english holiday place with all the things you think of associated with that. was beautiful. walked around the lanes and north laine, which is full of independant shops, gallerys and vintage things. it was good to see the famous pier, and the palace pavilion, in which acted as a prince's playhouse in the regency period. Fully decked out in what an englishman thought china looked like.
loved london. so much to do. saw most of the post card sights, and walked alot and saw alot. Got taken out to the pub jack the ripper's victims hung out in, and he picked up one of them from. pretty eery walking down wooden spiral stairs to the toilet... London felt so different after new york. london feeling to me much more like home in a way.
nyc is incredable, as is la.
love and miss you all.
