Well hello again. To bring you up to date quickly... Wednesday 6 Sept was our last full day in Rio. We spent it, as intended, on Ipanema beach. Jo of course insisted on using one of the sun umbrellas from the hotel. I didn't mind at all since the sun was pretty darn strong on our lily white skin! So we sat ourselves down and fought off the hundreds of beach sellers (drinks and food) for the next few hours until finally succumbing for a bottle of water and g...

Alex's turn today! Fio dental (dental floss skimpies!) Unfortunately, yesterday's proposed beach day in the native atire never happened... well, you know, one thing and another (trying to buy some 'fio dental' swimwear, eating, drinking and walking!) just got in the way of actually getting to the beach in the new gear! But fear not, we have some lovely outfits to try and 'fit in' with... a little number for Jo and a small outfit for Al (with go-faster stripes...

Well, here in Rio baby!! We�re living it up in Ipanema, having already been to a footie match at the Maracana stadium (the biggest in the world), as well as enjoyed a helicopter ride over Rio, to get a birds eye view of sugar loaf mountain and Christo redentor. The next job is to check out the dudes and the ladies in the dental floss outfits they call beachwear, on the beaches of copacobana.
