Thankfully my dear friend Kanga-Roo has made the ultimate refined list for my Hock-Quest (tm) of Manhattan. But first. I explored. Of course I had some beautiful asistants, 1. Amelia my graduatation cheermate and 2. Bianca, Amelia's roomie - admittedly all 4 of the girls living in the flat were technically roomies because the place was teeny - I couldn't have felt more at home! All the american TV shows with the NYC lofts which are huuuuuge ... I don't think they exist! We went to the closest corner of Central Park where we admired some sneaky glow bugs just like from James and the Giant Peach... Followed by Times Square which truly was phenominal. Stark contrast between forest and the most iluminated city.
The next day our expedition reduced to 2 as me and Bianca went off to Staton Island, saw the SoL and city skyline all for free before making a U-turn back to the shining city. I almost met Emmie at this point. But there was a slimy british cafe owner who wouldn't let me join them after my mini-quest to find a 99c slice of pizza. I see why the Brits are always the baddies in the movies now. We go crazy mean if we live over there... (Not in Maine!) Emmie, it turns out, is a babe :) THEN when Amelia returned we went on a hunt for theatre tickets, we ended up getting Jersey Boys, which was cool but not as good as tomorrow will be. There were lots of squeaky voices, but a lot of songs I didn't know I knew.
We got take away cheese cake when we got back, you can apparently get take away anything in NY... The cheese cake was alright, I'm sure I've had better M&S...
