Hey! The picture is actually from San Francisco as they didnt have a Vegas one!
Sorry this hasnt been updated for so long but we have been so busy and having so much fun! Also we are spending money on other things rather than the internet! I cant seem to find the USB cable for my camera so we cannot upload anymore photos but we can show you them all when we get back which is just over three weeks now :( we really dont want to come home its depressing us!
Anyway we arrived in Loas Angeles on May 1st and booked our journey to the hostel took us through some really dodgy places that were scary and we felt quite vulnerable! But our hostel in Hollywood was amzing, it was in perfect location just off the walk of fame and near the metro! On the first night we just had a look around Hollywood and got some snaps at the walk of fame! The next day we went to a recording of the Late Late Show where we expected Eric Bana to be there but dissapointingly he wasnt, with noe explanation too! But the show was still fun and we saw Alice Cooper which was kind of cool! We also went on a mvie star homes tour where we sa the homes of Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, Marlene Dietrich, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, The Osbournes and many more! We also saw the Halloween house and the mansion where Clueless, and the Bodyguard were filmed! We went to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, we saw the shop on Rodeo that Julia Roberts got kicked out of in Pretty Woman! I absolutely loved LA it was so me, and Alex really enjoyed it too! The highlight was seeing Britney Spears at the House of Blues where we saw her perform Baby One More Time, so one of my dreams has been fulfilled haha! It was such an intimate performance she was literally a metre away from us and she looked gorgeous! Her body was class! We also saw Lindsay Lohan, we were in the same club and she seemed sweet too. La was just a brief stop as we are going back before we fly out, so we then headed to Santa Barbara for one night! Santa Barbara was hot but very windy so we had to wear jumpers for the first time during the day! It was very Californian and the people were nice. We took a stroll along the pier which was very much like those long ones you see in the movies, a bit like the one in Indecent Proposal! The next day we headed to San Francisco for four nights!
Here we were in a dorm, with the PSYCHO! We managed to escape him we will tell you all when we get home about that little story! We also love San Fran, we went to Alcatraz which Alex was very excited about and had an audio tour which was very insightful! We also went to Golden Gate Bridge and Yosemite National Park. Yosemite is beautfil and obviosuly very scenic, wish we could put the photos up! There were a lot of homeless peple in San Fran but they were nice enough! It was a lovely city with lots of very different suburbs ie Chinatown. There were also lots of 24hour diners with pink lemonade!!!!! That was quite cool! The shops are amazing in San Fran, a lto beeter than the ones at home, maybe not as good as london though but i dont shop there often! We also went to Pier 39 which is very touristy and has a Bubba Gump Shrimp outlet! When we first arrived in San Fran we met aNOTHER psycho on the bus who sounded like the girl off the excorcist and was having a big fit, some guy had to hold him down and the police arrested him! nice welcome! We saw quite a few of arrests in LA as well and helicopters hovering over our hostel! Ver exciting, but America seems to always be that way! But you have to love it!
We got a flight to Vegas next where we were in a really nice motel called the Wild Wild West! It had its own little casino but we headed to Excalibur to gamble on the slots where i won $110!!!! I was so pleased im gonna spend it on clothes! Alex didnt win unfortunately!! Las Vegas is exactly what you would imagine: ver busy, very lit up, its like a big toy town where everything is over the top and lots of peculiar people! The atmosphere is great though and the hotels on the strip are like none i have ever seen before! You really have to go and see them! The New York New York is built as though it is loads of skyscrapers bunched together and has a big kick off rollercoaster coming out of it! The Bellagio is beautiful and has an amzing fountain show that is set to music! The also have a Paris and a Venetian hotel with an Eiffel Tower. The Venetian is built with water all aorund it an you can go on Gondola rides, it really is amazing!
My time is running out iwill finish off Vegas in the next journal!!! it was so amazing everybody has to go there!!!!!!!!!!!1 miss you all lots xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
