Arrived at JFK at 12pm, after trying to sort a shuttle out I frinally gave in and took a taxi, which cost more than an arm and a leg!! Got to my room, freshened up to go and have a look around and see the Statue of Liberty but.................. i fell asleep on the bed till early evening!!!! Which by this point was the time I had arranged to meet Stine and Alex. After a chat and a drink we went to a Subwayt styly restaurant where they sold borritos and taco's etc, needless to save i didnt have the hot option from the selection!!!! After the food the 3 off us popped to the shop for refreshments for the start of the trek. Got back to the hotel about 8.30 where we all retired to ours rooms for the start of the trek & 7.30 the following day. I'm keeping a paper journal so i dont forget stuff, but for now time is running out and i will update photos and journal when i can....... more to follow, proimise :)
