The mecca of extreme activities!
We arrived in Queenstown yesterday. Before that we were at Manapouri and did the hardest trekking I've ever done in my life. 2 hours steep hill (I really mean crazy steep!) up and then 1 1/2 back down! It was such a difficult and steep path with giant trees and roots you literally had to CLIMB over! But we made it!
Milford Sound was our next stop! The scenery on the way there was truly amazing. It was quite misty there as well so it created a kind of mysterious atmosphere! We also took a cruise there, which was early in the morning and really worth the money!
So now after arriving in Queenstown it is time for the action part of our trip - bungyjumping and skydiving!!
Today Tomppa is doing the highest bungy jump in New Zealand - The Nevis Bungy, 134 meters fall in 8,5 seconds! I'm too scared to do that, so I'm doing skydiving instead tomorrow! Tomppa will do the skydive as well, so he has quite the action filled couple of days ahead! We are doing the tandem skydives over Fox Glacier, with the most amazing views in the whole of New Zealand they say... Uuhh, scary and exciting!
