Sandy beaches, the warm sun, fresh fruit drinks, surfing and groovin´ reggae and latino tunes...
We are in the cute surf village of Montañita, Ecuador!
One week already behind us in Ecuador. The first days we spent in Quito. Went for a day trip to Otavalo (two hours from Quito) to check out the local Animal and Handicraft market... The animal market was quite an experience with old Ecuadorian ladies dangling rabbits around from their ears. The Handicraft market was full with colorful fabrics and local handicrafts... Very nice place to buy souvenirs and gifts for the lovely people back home! Quitos Old Town was really pretty, but outside town, where we stayed was pretty scary and dodgy and the owner of the hostel basically told us to stay inside after dark! In the area where we stayed in, all the houses were surrounded by big walls, barbed wire and crusched glass to keep the dodgy thieves away! Nice!
Baños was our next stop ! It was a lovely little town surrounded by volcanoes, mountains, waterfalls and thermal springs. We did horse back riding there (Tomppas first time ever on a horse!) and relaxed in the thermal springs...
So now we are in the coastal village of Montañita. They say that the best waves for surfing in Ecuador are here!! Here we have spent a few days just soaking up the sun and waiting for Krista to get here! This is the perfect place to relax and spend the last week of our travels...
We´ll see you guys back home in one week! <3

Romeo I DOUBT that you got that kind of music from djs in the area..Unless it was from a caribbean eartsurant or a salsa club, just admit that you thought that salsa is something we listen to in all of Latin America..Uruguay is not The Dominican Republic..Just like Germany is not Portugal..get it?
