Akshay's world tour
Goa, India
Well i will start off with a basic summary of my hellish
time in bombay. Mumbai was hell for the six days we were there, it was overcrowded smelly and we little to do but eat , so obviously i ate.
But Goa is amazing, we started off in Anjuna, in what can only be described as the most backwards of all hostels. Anjuna is one of the strangest places in the world, it is a mix of hardcore clubbers, israelis and a hell of a lot of hippies. We spent 3 days here soaking in the hardcore trance and realising it wasn\'t really us so we moved further north to the more secluded Arambol
Arambol was truly beautiful. We were staying in these little beach huts which never seemed to have power, but for just over a pound a night we couldn\'t complain. Near our huts , if you climbed round a clifff is the most amazing cove with a few huts and a lake going into the forest. Apparently there have been babas medidating here for longer than any can remember. we tried to to go see them but were not allowed.
So After 4 days we moved to Palolem where I am writing this. Palolem is the idyllic Goan beach that everyone loves, and that seems to be some of the problem there are too many tourists. but having said it is still retains it beauty and as a result of it being popular there are many more bars and people to meet. I have to go now, i am trying to find a fisherman or boat owner who will take us dolphin watching and to butterfly beach. Will post pics later .
