I spent 2 nights in a house in the village of Kasan which is outside of Delhi and a taste of Indian village life. Despite being warned about the stares, it was strannge to be the object of so much staring at attention especially when I went to leave the house to be greated by a line of children just looking at me! Walking through the village I saw people about their daily business, cows, goats and pigs roaming the streets and eating the trash. So much rubbish ...

My time in Delhi centred around trying to et to the train station to get a ticket out to Jodhpur which was exhausting and unsuccessful. Persistent lies, being shouted at, sent on a number of goose chases and not being allowed to even get into the train station led to some despair and finally deciding I couldn't handle a third day at the train station I booked a flight out! I was met at Delhi airport by Diwan who took me to George Bristow's home in Kasan where I stopped for 2 nights. On arrival to the village it was dark but the obligatory cow in the path was there to greet me. Exploring the village was interesting with waste channels along the side of the paths and of course I managed to step in some to the amusement of the children around by and had to be washed down! Wonderful hospitality and interesting village.

Arrived in Mumbai airport safely at 06:40 UK time, it is certainly a lot warmer here than the UK although that is no surprise! So far I haven't done much, I took a taxi with some of the donated Rupees to (thank you Katie B) and now feels like I have been sat in the airport forever!!
