Well its nearly Christmas 2009, and we have been back in the land of commerce and capuchino for 8 weeks now.. Its difficult to sum up what this expedition has meant to us, as much of it is in feelings, feelings for people, feelings for places and feelings for moments in time when we were just one with everything around us.
Could the climb have been made easier.. well.. physically and mentally yes.. as was shown with one of the other UK groups getting 15 people to the Peak.. however their story is different to ours as they used Diamox (altitude drugs) from day one.. they also had 4 litres of water for the final climb to our 1, and they also had other liquid brought up for their decent..
Lets put it this way..ours was done naked.. would we have wished for our story to be different.. hell no.. no way.. it was the most delicious perfect experience, and I was so pleased to have had the honor to share it with my own 'band of brothers'.
