Ok so leaving the wizard was hard. Really have made amazing friends. Going to miss the banter soooo much. Like people calling me 'H' cause no b***** could say my name prop at the start. (Got use to it tho and quite like it), Spending all day in Room 1/2 laughing our heads off at all the guys, watching DVD's with the 'princess duvet cover' (R.I.P, She is gone to a new owner) and just the general sillyness. I really have never been so happy in my life.
ROAD TRIPMe, Chris, Steve and Tone left coogee finally i might add 4.5 months since arrival in Sydney. We headed up the coast on the 10th Jan. Teary goodbye to the hostel peaps.
We went to Blue Mountains (BM), and went on a walk to the touristy point of the BM it was absolutly gorgeous what a view!!!! we then headed to our 1st camp site in Katoomba - is was a nice campsite, lots of family's not many backpackers it seemed. We set up camp and chilled with a few cups of Goon (boxed wine)The banter was ace.
Following day we went to an area called Mungo brush just past Newcastle in a National Park it cost us $7 for the night. However....... there were NO SHOWERS just s***ty toilets that pumped air in your face when you flushed it.
Mungo Brush was a really beautiful place beside a lake and in the middle of nowhere. We survived our first night and headed to a beach in the national park grounds. This beach was something else...absolutly amazing, we were the only people there the sand was white and the sea so blue. Def a breath taker, we jamp in the sea and had a swim then headed back to the jeep to continue with the road trip.
BYRON BAYGood 8 hours later we arrived in Byron Bay. Small Holiday like village. Such a laid back place and loads of travellers.
1st night we met up with Jules and Owen from Coogee. We met them in the Beach Hotel for a few drinks, well we had a few drinks, Tone got wasted!!!Good to see them both, had an early night tho as we were all pretty tired from the travelling.
Following day we all headed to a place called NIMBIN Cannabis Capital. We stepped out the car and a little old 'what looked inoscent'lady offered us all Hash cookies, in the middle of the street, So strange the town was full of complete randoms all completely stoned. We then went to a Rock pool outside nimbin in the sticks - massive lake with a big string swing. None of us were brave enough to go on the swing so jamp in instead. we stayed for a couple of hours then headed back to byron for em a very interesting night i shall say.......
