The days are passing quickly and as I watch Gavin, Steve and Arryn get their affairs finalised and ready to go I can't help but feel like I'm more ready than they are.. I've bought nearly everything that needs buying, seen or made plans to see dentists and doctors and all of those predominantly Jewish professionals which my mum insists on my visiting. Because of my way of being over organised and impatient I decided that I'm almost obligated to start my travel blog before I leave - or at least that's what I told myself to justify a very s***ty decision. [Censorship? We'll see about that! s*** crap f*** bum fart!] But what sort of blog to write? I think HSC English has ruined the chances of it being as witty and interesting as I would have liked - I'm doing my best, but everything is coming out verbose and.. grandiloquent (ThankYOU thesaurus.com!) Anyway, I'm hoping that me and my friends' adventures, always crazy and hilarious (to us) will give my blog some life. But until then, I'll leave you feeling warm and gooey with a schmaltzy ending...
Every time I get asked about my trip by someone, particularly someone I don't know very well (which is like twice a day at least) they ask who I'm going with, "boys from school?". And when I tell them that I'm not going with friends from highschool, or even friends from primary school, but rather with some close friends from the school I left in year 2, over a decade ago, they all seem to think that's pretty special. I didn't think much of it at first, but the more I dwell on it, the more I think they're right! How many people can boast friendships this long, lasting different schools and changing suburbs? Not you loser!! You piece of poo! But all hostility aside, I think I have all the makings of an awesome eurotrip.
Midnight Snack, over and out.
