Day 4, and our final day in Caracas thank god. Strangely we will miss it but can safely say that we will not be returning to Caracas in a hurry.
In the morning we went to the local pastry shop (the only real food shop in town) and got breakfast to eat on the beach. We brought these pastry buns that tasted like they had a marmalade filling, with tons of sugar on top. Very yummy!! While we were sat on the rocks on the beach, we saw lots if black jumping crabs.
Later on in the afternoon Elias (the friendly taxi driver) drove us into Caracas to drop us of at the bus station. But before he took us there, he brought us some bananas for the bus journey and a traditional venezuelan drink made from sugar, tasted just like warmed up brown sugar. It was quite good but very sweet. He then drove us on the mountain road, so we could overlook the city, which was really cool. The city looked like a typical South American city with shanty houses (all of which were bright coloured) sprawling across the sides of the mountain.
Then at around six we got dropped off at the bus station, which was lovely, it had a cafe and films playing. At 9 we caught our very first night bus.
