Still having the whole dorm to ourselves we lazed in bed for an extra hour until the deadline for breakfast. Having cereal as well as the usual bread and butter gave us the dilemma of what to choose.
Afterwards we packed up and moved to a cheaper hostel with a private room, closer to the plaza. We dropped our stuff off and immediately left for the free city tour. Unlike in Arequipa we stayed to the end, feeling more obliged to stay as there were three guides who seemed to be tracking where we all went. Learning about the inca buildings as well ad Cusco itself being shaped like a puma and rocks being placed like a snake, puma and condor which were the three sacred inca animals. Also being told about legal highs and going to view points the tour was capped off with a pisco sour drink which actually tasted quite nice.
Heading straight for a quick lunch, our next port of call was the chocolate factory. Trying coca tea, learning about it being discovered by the Maya's an believed to be food of the gods. A chocolate bun and brownie later and we also managed to book white water rafting for tomorrow.
Our plan is to get a full body massage before the inca trail so looked at a couple of massage parlours before exploring more of the city. The amount of people offering massages and wanting to show you their art is unbelievable. The city hassles tourists a lot more than La Paz and the other cities we have travelled to but nevertheless is still really nice.
