Leanne did in fact arrive today. We met another British girl where we were staying and she joined us for the day at Iguazu falls on the Argentinian side. We all shared a taxi and the adventure of the falls began. These falls are registered by UNESCO as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and after today's experience I could totally see why.
We started on the lower trail where we got to the pier to embark on our boat ride. I didn't quite know what to expect, but saw many people drenched walked passed me. I soon understood why, the boat rides around both sides of the falls and then goes straight in to 3 or 4 of the falls causing a free shower effect and hence quite a bit of wetness. We ventured along the upper trail to get a different view. We then took the train to the Gaganta del Diablo (Devils throat) where we still had to walk about 1km to get to the viewing point. It was awesome! We got wet again, but this time due to the mere force causing spray. The views were spectacular. I am reminded everyday that I am so privileged to be on this trip and today was again such a reminder!
