Today we slept in, surprise surprise, and we woke up to eggs and biscuits courtesy of Andrew. Gathering laundry, Andrew and I walked over to the local laundry and dropped it off after trying to pay the owner 3 X what he was asking for. Oops! Thank goodness for good people. We stopped by the Linder and got more snacks and then hit the road for Parque Nationale Alerce Andino via car. Great drive along the coast, though we ended up not venturing into the park. Saw: cats, dogs, goats, sheep, pigs, cows etc along with cool fishing villages, ferries, fishermen, and mountains to ocean. Home to pick up laundry, put away, and head into town. M and J were unleashed with 15,000 pesos in their pockets with instructions to meet us at 6:00 at El Barista. Rain truncated plans, but we all met up - James poorer by 11,000 pesos but richer by two pens. Dinner in the window, drinks, burgers, Chilean sea bass, papas frites, Victor, who is going to be studying in France next month, and a great dark and stormy. Kids took off to meet us at the house, and Andrew and I stop by the Li dear to pick up snacks for tomorrow. Now, watching Harry Potter 7 in Spanish.

Lee So, overall, how do you like Chili so far ? Is it like what you expected ? It looks cold there. you guys usually have coats on. I have read for years how great the sport trout fishing is in Chili . True? Have fun. How much is 15000 pesos?
Dawn Chile is awesome! It is very similar to the Pacific Northwest - at least at this latitude. We will be heading down south tomorrow and that will put us colder - more like Alaska. It is fall here. I think trout fishing is a big deal here - trout is on the menu all over. 15,000 pesos is about $20.
