Today was amazing! We woke up "early" - 7:30 - and drove a 100 km up a dirt road into Torres del Paine/ Patagonia. After two hours we made it to Lago Grey. The day before we had arranged via phone and email for a spot on board a boat that would take us to the Grey Glacier. It only took an hour to get that sorted out and we made it on the boat! Ice bergs, glaciers, Pisco Sour, and a 15 ton piece of ice calving off the Glacier. Incredible. Blue. Also Glacier ice in our Pisco Sours! Back and a snack of empanadas and fries with amazing views before we headed out to another hour drive on dirt roads to an amazing walk to see some iconic Patagonia. Back to the car at 6 and S-Town during the two hour drive home on dirt roads. HANGRY family as we rolled into town looking for an ATM and a grocery store for tomorrow's adventures. Got some bread, cheese, turkey?, cookies, crackers, and Chilean pringles for tomorrow's lunch ABOARD ANOTHER BOAT LOOKING FOR GLACIERS! Back to our substandard lodging (but convenient to the town), quick shower for Andrew, and back out for dinner. Saved the leftovers for dogs we met on the way back. Home reading about Spicer and his weird Holocaust comments along with United's potential role in ousting Assad after their successful deplaning of passenger.
