This place is fantastic! It's a holiday resort, not a caravan park. At $98 a night, it's the most expensive place we intend to stay at on the whole trip, but can already way, we'd happily come back. The staff are doing everything they can to be helpful, they even gave us a ride around the resort in a buggy to show us everything. Pool, water park, gym, giant jumping pillow, beach volleyball, etc… Oh, on the way up, we stopped of at Murdering Point W...

Pretty good run to this spot where we have an absolute beachfront site again. Awesome view across to Palm Island. This is a Big4 Resort and it lives up to the name. It's pretty nice, we all had a swim in the big pool complete with fake cave and waterfall even though it was cold! Then we played on the beach for a while. AJC went to the shops after a lazy start today. This afternoon we went on a fishing charter called "Gone Fishing". The colour of the water on a bright clear day like this is unreal - literally it is such an acute aqua colour in close and deep deep blue out further from shore that it doesn't look real. Up early to catch the 'Whitehaven Xpress'. Giant purple clam seen while snorkelling at Butterfly bay, BBQ lunch at beautiful Whitehaven beach (5th best beach in the world), a short walk up to the lookout. Amazing view back across the swirling sands. They guys licked green ant bums for a sour hit. I'll put some photos up. We're all pretty tired now. A great day.
