Day 13: Thurs 10 July 2014: Rollingstone Beach to Cairns.
This place is fantastic! It's a holiday resort, not a caravan park. At $98 a night, it's the most expensive place we intend to stay at on the whole trip, but can already way, we'd happily come back. The staff are doing everything they can to be helpful, they even gave us a ride around the resort in a buggy to show us everything. Pool, water park, gym, giant jumping pillow, beach volleyball, etc…
Oh, on the way up, we stopped of at Murdering Point Winery and tried and then bought ½ a case. Just the name was enough. Apparently, the local aboriginal people were carnivores who didn't mind the taste of the odd shipwreck survivor… And we got the electrical problem with the van fixed at Jayco Cairns. I had to help the young lad work it out but hopefully, no more electric shorts.
