Last entry was quite a while ago, so this one might be brief and slightly wrong! Well, Sao Paulo was big, we wished we knew somebody who lived there becuase it`s impossible to choose what to do and where to go! Think we all preferred Rio! But it was still aweosme. After Sao Paulo we headed to Florianopolis (Floripa) which was beautiful; the sand is so fine it squeaks when you walk on it! We went sand boarding there which was alot of fun but really painful after the gazilliunth time falling off. We visited quite a lot of the beaches there and they were all stunning. From Floripa we caught a bus 18 hour bus to Montevideo, Uruguay. It`s really really quite in Montevideo, especially for a capital! It`s a really attractive place though. We went to the street market on our first day and Adz collected ingredients for my secret birthday meal the next day! On my birthday i woke up covered in balloons which the guys had written all over! We visited Punta De Este, had the three course meal which was amazing!!!!!! and went out for some drinks, where we got the band in there to sing happy birthday! Next we went to Colonia del Sacramento, a beautiful old town where it`s absolutely freezing! We watched the Holland Uruguay match in a café there, which had an amazibg atmosphere even though they lost; everybody drove up and down the street on motorcycles, 2 or 3 to a bike, waving flags, beeping non stop. Loads of vans were driving around with people in the backs playing make-shift drums. We found a giant chess set there made out of bottles! Which we played a fair few times in the evenings, we found some sweet little museums and went up a lighthouse, we nearly blew away. From Colonia we caught the boat over to Buenos Aires! Buenos Aires is full of gorgeous buildings and cafés and interesting neighbourhoods. We visited the cemetary in Recoleta where Evita is buried, it`s really eerie. There are hundreds of exquisite tombs with alleys between the "streets" of them- it`s like a village. We had some great, tiring nights out in B.A, the clubs don`t open until 2! One night we went to a Tango show with a lesson, 3 course meal, free wine and the most amazing Tango show- we really appreciated the dance after the clumbsy 12 steps we mastered! And now me and Bex are in Patagonia! We`re off to Peninsula Valdés as its Whale season! and then to see the glacia in El Calafate and Adz is still in Buenos Aires, hopefully to take up some language courses for Columbia!
Lots of Argentinian Love!
..also bex has had good steak! :)
