Bonjour!
Just had an update from the Porter household that a cyclone is heading your way. May I recommend that you eat as many steak and kidney puddings that you can find in your local convenience store to prevent a premature departure from Oz Dorothy style.
I'm slightly annoyed that Mum stole my 'Adam driving with his eyes shut' line - that'll teach me for not typing up my words of wisdom quick enough!
Hope the cyclone blows itself out soon so that you can re-join the hippy commune!
And don't forget the immortal words of Jake and Elwood;
Rollin rollin rollin,
Though the streams are swollen,
Keep them doggies rolling,
Rawhide!
Top advice in any language.
Take care,
Lee and Chrissy

Don't know when you will be able to read this, but we are thinking of you with cyclone Larry. I have been onto the Austalian Met site and have a print out of the situation. I have also printed out and saved a map of the path of the cyclone. Hope you both are alright . Love Grandad and Marie xxx

Hi guys. I've just heard about your tornado experience. I hope that you are both okay - it sounds like you've done the sensible thing! I'm sure that you'll be safest in a big hotel and you'll be able to carry on with your journey once the storm has passed! You must have been gutted to have to drive away from the nice beaches - but there'll be plenty more! Mum has looked up Townsville on the internet and it looks like an interesting place in itself.
I was very jealous to hear about your snorkelling experience - but you should have done the diving!!!

Hi-di-hi Campers! How amazing to go snorkling and swimming in the barrier reef - How I wish I was there! I must say you are certainly braver than I am sharing your camping facilities with unwanted visitors - don't think I would have lasted the night!! Happy driving and speak to you soon. Love Jo xxx

Oooh you went to the Rainforest?! How I wish I were there! Surprised that you did not see more wildlife to be honest, but amazing all the same. Hope the sun comes out soon Big day at work tomorrow- we have a visitor in the form of the leader of the opposition, so I may end up on TV! Happy camping! x

Sounds as if you've been eating lots of nice food while you've been away! Be careful with the camper van - Adam, I don't know if you remember this but my lasting memory of being in a campervan in Australia is being sick all over my jumper!!
