It's on the west coast, with a magnificent beach that stretches as far as the eye can see, with the azure warm waters of the Indian Ocean lapping up onto it and a nice cool breeze coming off the sea - a welcome change from the 44'C (112'F) temps of the last couple of weeks! The beach is a bit reminiscent of the one on Fraser Island - partly because of the sand dunes in the background, but mostly coz you can take your 4WD vehicle down and drive along it!
Oh and there's camels here too, and you can take rides at sunset, although seeing as I rode a camel back in Port McQuarie I stood back & took photos.
Stroke of luck - it just so happens that a band called The Waifs (an Aussie band that has a great song out called "I'm in London Still", which makes me miss home sooo much whenever I hear it) is on tour & playing here in Broome tonight! So I'm looking forward to that, though I'll probably be in tears by the end of it! :)
Spk soon,
