So this is our first post from Bangkok. It's 10:38pm here and just been invited out with some fellow Brits! Yesterday we were pretty jet lagged (Will even more so after being a hero firefighter all of Saturday night) after being up for a solid 65 hours enduring some crazy events . Mumbai security and a eye opening ride on the bus with the locals, as most opted for luxury taxi taxi transfer but in true backpacker style we braved public transport. Then headed for the rooftop pool and had a wander down Khao San road. Its pretty cool, just full of market stalls. You could pick up anything you wanted here. Theres even a boots the chemist tucked behind some further up the road! We were brave and had our first Pad Thai from a street vendor, really good and so so cheap! Will didn't have fun with the chop sticks though. Had an amazing day exploring the temples today in Ratanakosin. Visited Wat Pho, reclining Buddah and the Thai massage school (tempted to do the course!) the Grand Palace inside out, Wat Phra Kaeo and the Emerald Buddah. You wouldn't believe how filthy your feet get here, taking them off to go in virtually every temple and even some shops! Bangkok is generally pretty filthy though!
Wish you were here
