Nothing beats gliding alongside turtles and sharks! The Perhentian Islands are gorgeous! We are staying in Maya Chalets (another rough guide find) which is 12 little chalets on the beach with a restaurant and lots of coconut trees. We love it. There is nothing else to do but eat, sleep, swim and soak up the sun. We only have a little electricity in the evenings which all adds to the fun! Definately doing me good. Every evening we have two giant lizard things that come and fight in the water, they're enormous but seem pretty harmless.

We went snorkelling yesterday with the Maya boys around the Islands. In just 1m deep we could be swimming with sharks, turtles, Nemos and all sorts of beautiful fish. I have some pretty good pics!

The beaches are so peaceful here. Long beach is gorgeous with crystal clear waters for swimming and perfect white sand for sunning, while coral bay is brilliant snorkelling. Romantic beach is the stunner though with coral strung down from the trees bent over the beach. Me and my hammock are loving it! It's so serene, I never want to leave
