L'Aventure Excellent d'AB
Day 2 - London, England
Sleeping was interrupted by the Australian couple departing to catch their early flight to India, stopping on the way to sri lanka, on the way to singapore, next to which my journey pales into insignificance, but i still beat the guy i spoke to in the kitchen who's here working. Added to the discomfort of having my feet squezzed between my luggage (the disadvantage of the top bunk is nowhere to put your bags except on the bed) it wasnt the best night's sleep i've had, but was sufficient. Breakfast of unlimited toast and cereal in the kitchen was supplemented by the cheese and juice i bought the previous night (i remembered at this point why i dont like grapefruit juice, must stick to sweet things). Incidentally, i've so far managed to eat quite healthy, I wonder how long this lasts.
Among the assorted Australians and Germans was a familiar face, which seemed a little bizarre. A few weeks ago, while lunching at uber lounge, i convinced the others to order fondue, only to be told by the Australian waitress that, even though she wanted to know what it was like, they dont serve it. This incredibly started a conversation, in which I impressed her with my tales of Glasgow indie music venues.
I think I'm now getting the hang of these buses, managed to get to Victoria and check in my bag, although, rather worryingly, the terms and conditions seem to be saying they dont take responsibility for anything at all. Today i'll try to relax a little, maybe have lunch in hyde park (cheese and picallilli sandwiches, with apple juice) if the sun stays out and visit a couple of other museums. The coach to Paris leaves at 2030, so i need to check in at 1930 and from then on I'll need to use euros and a phrase book at all times.
Incidentally, photos will appear as soon as i can find a USB connection, whenever that may be.
