When Perran suggested a random trip to New York..i thought..why not!
Arriving at The Bowery, in Downtown NEw York we were greeted by a doooodddgy looking hostel, it rembled some of the accomodation we stayed in in Panama..ah well. We hit the city starting by walking through Central Park throught strawberry fields and to visit the Gugenheim, slightly dissapointing as it was all under constrcution. W eheaded to the Whitney museum to see an amazing 60's art exhibition. On from there we saw Time Square, Ground Zero, and the Statue of Liberty.
We managed to meet up with Shep and Joanna who showed us Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge. We headed to their New York appartment on the east side of the river..what an amazing place they had!
Sunday night was slightly blurry after a few to many cocktails, we jumped in a taxi and asked to be taken to soem NY nightlife..ending up at a swanky r'n'b club, we where the only white tourists there..hmm.
Wicked time had by all..more travel stories soon!
