Odd Lovely Days of Danielle
Wow! What a day yesterday and today! We decided to stay another night in klagenfurt because we just couldnt bare to leave...so after much persuasion from martin and an awesome night out at his work sitting outside right by the Worthersee...I couldnt resist. It was so nice a big group of us all hanging out and chatting around candle light wrapped in big blankets on awesome comfortable chairs...The next day was quite a ride...we went to go out paddle boating and ended up heading right toward a huge storm...and me..I was like oh no it will be fine...it looked like tornado weather...we decided to hold off a bit because it was lightening...and sit by the pond with the ducks and feed them bread and have some wine and cheese and crackers...it was so windy...I love the wind...the ducks were awesome...they ate right out of my hand and almost ate that too...they were so fat but not shy in the least. It started to rain so we went for cover under this awesome bush that looked like a fort I would have made when I was younger...I got pictures...well then it was like a monsoon! It was raining so hard and we just sat and sipped on our wine and had cheese and crackers..and thought we were doing okay until it started hailing...lol (Nicole...get the hail out of here remember!) The ducks got right under there with us...and the rythmn of the rain and the sounds....it was so awesome...and so sereal...I will never forget that day...it was oh so romantic...I loved it....it rained so hard that you couldnt make out what was in front of you....needless to say we were soaked...my passport is still wet from this awesome adventure....then as quickly as it started it was gone...and the ducks came out with us to play...they were all surrounding us talking up a storm..no punned intended..and brought their babys out to play...it was so cool...it was like we were one of them or something...haha..we expeirenced something with them and then they loved us! It was like we had our own fan club of ducks! then we mosyed back to our place barefoot and sopping wet...and opened a bottle of wine and hung out and talked on the roof...but apparently we werent alone because a group of 10 or more young italian boys were spying on us up above...so we hung out with them yelling at each other from our roof to their window...and learned some interesting italian...haha..then we decided to try and pack and get ready to watch USA VS Italy..! It was awesome...we won...ha. No one was excited though. There were a ton of italiens staying at our hostel...so we rode with some of them to the game...interesting times with these crazy guys....16boy that said he was 17....looking for croatian boy...running into Martin freak 2....then we met up with Oli and Martin to bid farewells....sigh...it seems now that it is only a blur....it is strnage how that happens...this mornignwoke up to finish packing...check out...call a taxi...get to the train station to buy our tickets and the information is no where to be found...we were trying to make it to visit one of my friends from the states that is playing in a symphony in Italy...the guy that helped me was so awesome..he broke out his map of the train stations...I knew what it looked like if I saw it....Bam! after riffling through my suit case that was poorly packed and having my crap spread out all over the floor...with everyone waiting on me...ha...of course that would happen to me...caught the trian just in time...smooth sailing...I would still be on the train right now if we hadnT decided to stay in venice because...we missed our connection...so it was like venice it is...i know not bad eh?...traveling with a buit case that is not fit for travel...is quite difficult and always is a show...I am so i shape..! so we got a map and a list of hotels and figured out a plan...we are staying in this awesome beautiful bed and breakfast...with a terrece...and everything...it is like a fairytale...one would have to see it...I hate staying in commercialized places...but we definitely scored....then we went out to venture the town...pizza..coconut slices...eis...fabulous..tonight we are going to watch Vivaldi...Four seasons! and then hit a jazz club....this is so sureal...I wanted to get here before it sank so it worked out awesome...I cant believe I am here...I do miss the german keyborads though...it had the umlaubs...its amazing to be traveling...I love the Italiens...their culture...their style...their energy...its fabulous....I could live in italy...its totally me...They make a party out of anything. Its time to go get ready...and dress to the 9s! and walk down the streets of venice with a gerber daisy in my hair...and get ready for an amazing show at the opera house! Oh by the way I get breakfast served in my bed! How nice...sigh...this is the life...I would love to study in Italy somewhere...I will make it happen. Ciao!
