Wow what a great few days:-
After the fun and games of stansted the other night we boarded the flight and got a poor few hours sleep, probably caused by excitement but also watching the inbetweeners didn't help "friend" "briefcase wan@er" etc etc
On landing we decided to head into kl to meet up with my dad and sister to have some drinks and food. Well worth it for the food and drink but also the quote "you will be dehydrated after the flight, have another pint of Stella!" well I can safely say that doesn't help and when I woke up on Friday morning to a serious killer hamgover I would live to regret.
However the upgrade to first class was a majestic moment and one that makes me think coach class will never happen again!!!
So landed in Christchurch to be told that they had had an aftershock of 4.5 the night before!!! Oh great and our room is on the 1st floor!! Not ideal especially as I had to put up with mr snore!! None the less 2 hours sleep will do as we were too excited about picking up the beast - a massive Nissan x-trail.
So 5 hrs later we arrived in Dunedin to realise that our b&b is perched on top of the steepest hill in the world - good planning that one captain o - it's so steep we cannot even park the beast on it.
Anyway we had an awesome nig last night spent with a few fans in the speight brewery and then move to the Bog, an Irish bar to watch the Ireland v Australia game. What a game and to experience with fellow haters of the golds was joyous!
So today woody and I are like kids the night before Xmas.
It's going to be long day of eating lamb, drinking and general banter with the thousands of other rugby fans in this small town.
Swing low sweet chariot - that's if the chariot as de-icer as it's flipping freezing!
