Arrived in Koh Phangan on 23rd of November and stayed until the 27th. Stayed in a lovely place called the Phangan Buri Resort, rooms great and the pool looked onto the beach. Just chilled the afternoon we got there and had a wander in the main shopping and restaurant area at night. The next day was the Full Moon Party in the evening so we just had a quiet day around the pool to save our energy for the evening!!!! Got chatting to some lovely Canadian guys, Paul, Mark and Narry, in our resort and so went down to the Full Moon Party with them and spent the night with them. Had such a great time at the party, the beach is just full of people and all the bars are blasting out music whilst selling drinks in buckets! We also got some UV tattoos that were bit of a rip off but looked good J Danced the night away until it got light, Becky B and Paul even went for a dip in the sea once it got light! Left about 6.30am and so spent most of the next day sleeping!!On our last full day we decided to get out of the resort and went up to a beach at the north west of the island to see a place called Ko Ma. This is a very small island that can be reached across a sand causeway when the tide is out. We managed to get across in the afternoon but not much to see so had a wander and came back to the beach. The beach bar here was our first experience of a 'local' Thai toilet!!! It is basically a plastic potty type thing that you have to squat over and then use a bucket of water to flush everything away! Needless to say this kind of put us off our lunch….but were getting used to them now! That evening we went out and had a lovely Mexican meal and were having a pretty uneventful night…until the walk home!!! Out of nowhere a dog came and attacked Becky B's bag. To cut a long story short we tugged with the dog for a while, all the time trying not to annoy it too much (!) and then managed to flag a car down to help us. They threw something at the dog, which scared it off and so we ran for our lives back to the safety of our hotel!!!! A very scary experience but we came out of it in one piece - and so did the bag!! The next day we checked out and caught the ferry back to Koh Samui.
