Not normally a city girl but wow! KL is one hell of a city, a jungle of high rise buildings and amazing shopping! We have explored in the immense humid heat for 2 days, visiting markets and botanical gardens and the national monument! All very impressive, we have had a flip flop rescue mission from a water fountain (not mine!) And a few strange sights including man sniffing people (avoided him!). Following the most amazing cake I have had for a long time I found the next market stall trader, he was selling 'Wisdom'! Reminders that even though it feels western and not like home than any where else I have been on this trip so far that it is defiantly still Asia!
We sweated our way back to our hotel just in time for the most impressive thunder storm ever, loudest and most lightening I have ever seen! We didn't manage to miss the rain, after 2 showers (one intentional) we have ventured up the telecom tower for a view of the city and the petronas towers. We have seen the towers from many different views but they are so stunning! By night they glow and the water features round them are coloured and dance to music with a shopping centre under the towers containing all the designers you could dream of and m&s!
The skybar was our last visit in KL and it was mainly for the mega views it offered...one expensive drink later and the budget has been blown completely! Will deal with that when I am back as the tour saying goes Yolo! (You only live once).
We are heading off to melaka now for our last stop in Malaysia before hitting the big time in Singapore!
