After staying in Kilifi and Mombasa for a couple of days we took the bus to Arusha in Tanzania. At Mombasa Backpackers we met Kim and Zack who came with us to Arusha. We left Mombasa Saturday morning and arrived in Arusha 11h later. Everything went really smooth by the border, and I was surprised that there were no hassle at all. We checked in at Arusha Backpackers for 8$ a night and the place is great. The dorm had only 4 beds so we don't have to share it with other people and breakfast is included in the price. i can't say that it is the most incredible breakfast, but it's ok. They have like a roof top where we can sit and there's a restaurant there so it's perfect. Kim and Zack are both really cool and easy to travel with. Kim's from israel, but her mum's Swedish so she knows a few words in Swedish which came in handy when we wanted to get rid of some annoying Safari-guides trying to sell us trips without being too rude to them. Zack's from US and unlike David he also hates all the pity stories and over-emotional crap on the US TV shows. :)
I got my 3rd letter from Mathias a couple of days ago and it made me so happy and a sad aswell. I mean of course i'm happy because of all the cute things he writes and the fact that he writes at all! but at the same time I become a bit sad as it reminds me of how many months it's still to go until I see him again. He always manages to write exactly when i'm starting to get paranoid and sad. I hate myself for acting like such a girl getting all paranoid for the small things like the amount of x's after an e-mail! It's such a waste of time and energy overthinking every sentance and try to analyse it. I promised myself never to act like hat annoying paranoid girlfriend again, but I guess it's just in our nature! I'm not That bad though! just sometimes... it's funny how I can express everything I feel and think in my (way too long) letters to him, but i'm too nervous and chicken out when we're on Skype. Sanna always laughs at mewhen i'm giggling, all red in my face! oh well, i do believe that people get to know eachother better when they're in distance relationships, or at least that applies to me as I write everything, that i would be too scared to ask. I guess you all know that i like to talk about myself, so in that case i believe I write just as much as I say... :)
