Quick Catch Up
I have to start by saying that Spain is so much more than I thought it would be. I really came not expecting much more than a place to be immersed in Spanish and at every turn I have been pleasantly surprised.
Madrid was really amazing. I wish I could have spent some more time there. Which translates as: I'll be going back. Today we went to El Escorial and El Valle de Los Caidos. In another blog I'll have to give more details. For now I'll just say that each one literally took my breath away. If you get a chance, google them. Or better yet, call me and we'll visit them together!
Tonight we're in Toledo and it is the epitome of picturesque. Things were off to a rocky start (details to come, I promise) but I have no doubt that tomorrow will be a day of unforgettable sights, bursting with memories to be had.
For now, I'm off to bed. My body is finally adapting to not only the jet lag/time difference but the completely different schedule these Spaniards keep. As they say, they "live the life."
All for now and all my love,
