I really feel that each day I am here I am falling more in love with the place. Today was just perfect with amazing waves and amazing company. The mist was gone and the sun was shining hot and bright, and we had plenty of time relaxing and surfing.
I think this day was definitely a good balance between chilling out time and surfing time. This morning we had an early morning yoga class with Sally on the terrace again. It was very nice to wake up to the sun rising and warming us up as we woke ourselves with stretching and exercises. And really good to warm you up for surfing the rest of the day!
We went to the other side of devils rock today. There were a lot of people and the waves were pretty tough again. So after about nearly an hour of getting battered most of us stopped and Nelly and I played in the waves instead. It's still always fun just to jump about in the water! And we actually managed to get a bit of sunbathing in for the first time this week! I think I needed some sun on the rest of my body otherwise I would come back with a lovely tan on my face and be pale everywhere else.
We had lunch together on the beach and after taking Martin, Adam and Laurence to banana again, Zac, Nelly and myself came to devils rock once more. Banana was a bit too big today for me, especially without Zac helping me. But we didn't go straight away. Us two girls sat together with Zac and his two friends in the same little Moroccan restaurant as yesterday. And again Moroccans impress me with their hospitality, generosity and cracking sense of humour. They really are so easy going and chilled out people. They ordered some Moroccan mint tea and shared it with us, and after tea we went back into the sea.
This afternoon surfing was very good. The waves were a lot easier to practice in and we seemed to be the only people there, so I managed to catch a lot of waves. I even caught a green wave! It was so much fun and again I am popping up much quicker. Zac just tells me I am still sticking my bum in the air at the moment when I stand. He's right too. I can feel it. So I need to work on this. It might be my style (and with a style like this I'm sure no one would try to copy me) but it's obviously wrong. So I need to fix it and work on that now. Tomorrow!
As it's been so hot today we took this wonderful warm evening to go see the town. After our dinner in the villa the five of us went and caught the bus to Taghazout. It was only cheap. About 5 dirham each (which is about 40p). It's a really nice little town, with just a lot of locals and other surfers kicking about. Everyone is amazingly friendly and welcoming and we went for a drink (and more food) in a cute restaurant called "Le Spot". It's a really lovely place to go and hang out, and I'm loving our little surfer group we have here. Like our little surfer family!
