Last night we cheated. Im sorry to have to tell you this but we went out in the evening and had Chinese food!! I'm sorry but our poor defenceless stomachs couldn't hack another bit of curry that day, we'd already had it for breakfast!
However that evening back at the hotel we had some Tea with another couple who were staying, India and Adam, the are doing the same this as us but starting in Cambodia. It just happens that we both were getting a bus to Kandy. So this morning we caught it together. It was sad to say goodbye to our lovely Am'ma but we had a photo with her to remember her by.
While waiting at the bus stop we bumped into our tuk tuk driver from yesterday, he was getting the air conditioned bus unlike us poor sods, we obviously paid him too much money yesturday! The bus ride was hectic but we met a friendly man at the front of the bus and later got seats. Our bus driver was a maniac to say the least. He was so bad that he actually got pulled over by the police after beeping at them as nearly crashing into another bus to over take them.
After arriving in Kandy, unpacking in our hotel, we headed back down to town to meet up with India and Adam. They were a great couple, it was nice to have somone to talk to about all the crazy things we've seen here. We spent the afternoon walking around the lake and getting some food. They are heading to Cambodia to teach English, so we are hopefully going to meet them again their on our trip round.
We've got an early start tomorrow to head over to Ella for three days, its meant to be cooler so looking forward to that.
