Early Morning rise. 6.00am we were in bed at 7.30 pm last night. Packed up and walked to Wolfe Creek Crater it is the 2nd largest Meteorite Crater in the world. Pretty cool.
Heading to Bungle Bungle today for 3 nights. Liam has ordered and organised a new back windscreen to be fitted next Tuesday at Kunanurra Toyota. Thankyou so much Liam.
Shorts and tshirts from now on it was 30 degrees yesterday, heat knocked us a bit hence the early night.
Found a nice campsite in the Walardi camp ground which is in the South of the Purnululu National Park. The park is about 55km from the Hwy and another 20 to the campground, takes about 2hrs. They have well maintained pit toilets here and bore water on tap so the first thing we set up was the gas shower. Was great to have a hot shower overlooking the bush.
We visited the north of the park on Friday and up early we walked the Echidna Chasm which was a very interesting narrow gap through the mountain. We also walked a few lookouts and headed back to camp for lunch and a bum around afternoon as it was quite hot. Watched a great sun set over the southern side of the range. Plan on walking the southern side tomorrow. Slow cooked Lamb Korma for dinner with a few cold beers and a movie tonight. Doing it tough!
Early morning again hoping to beat the heat. Walked the Piccaninny Creek lookout and Cathedral Gorge. This was beautiful and the photos won't do it justice. Back to camp for lunch and a cold shower. Moving onto Kununurra in the morning.
