Day Twenty Nine
Before we left home, we arranged to meet up with the Anderssons (Karen's nephew -Adam's wife- Angelica's family - work that out!) who live on the outskirts of SF. We went to Adam's wedding in 2011 that was in SF.
Gunilla picked us up from the hotel and took us to Sausilito which is a coastal 'village' located on the other side of the bay. It would be a nice place to live, except it's very expensive to buy property. We found a restaurant located on the waterfront and just sat and enjoyed the views of the bay and the city while having lunch. It doesn't get too much better than that.
Finished lunch and drove inland to Muir Woods which is a national park. There are massive redwood trees growing there that are hundreds of years old. It's very peaceful and it was nice to walk around enjoying the trees.
Gunilla dropped us off at the hotel and went to pick up her daughter, Sarah before we headed to meet Bjorn in Oakland for dinner. Most of the bars and restaurants were packed out because the SF Giants were competing against the Kansas Royals in game one of the NBL World Series in Kansas. Much of the city is decked out in the Giants colours.
