Didn't sleep well at all last night, I kept having nightmares, must have had at least ten different dreams! Chris slept well despite my fidgeting. I woke up just as the sun was rising to go to the toilet, I was bursting! When I came back I opened the window so Chris would wake up and we could watch the sunrise together from our bed. I would have felt pissed off and grumpy about not sleeping well if it wasn't for the beautiful sunrise. I fell back to sleep for about forty minutes while Chris hung out our washing and put another load in to soak. A while later we heard the drums so went to breakfast at 8am.
We sat with Chin Chin and she told us why they were screaming last night. Her friend pulled a towel out of her bag and a big mouse jumped out and landed on her friends tummy while she was laying on the bed. It was pitch black too so they didn't know what it was until they turned the light on. A lady over heard our conversation and told Chin Chin she had the mouse in her bure this morning! We thought it was very funny, I wonder if we will get a visit from the mouse tonight!
We went back to our bure after breakfast and got ready for the beach. Shockingly Chris was happy to lay there for a whole hour! Then we went snorkelling off our beach. It was a really nice swim, lots to see. I spotted a small moray eel and Chris found a big octopus sitting outside of his hole. We spent a few minutes trying to get a good photo of him but every time we got close he snuck back into his hole, always keeping a eye poking out watching us.
We left him alone and carried on swimming around to Manta Ray Beach. It was a really sunny day and the beams of light made the coral look so colourful. We continued to swim to Sunset Beach. We spent about an hour and half snorkelling all together, the whole time we didn't hear anyone shout out about the manta rays. Hopefully we will get to see them tomorrow.
We walked back to our bure and sat in the sun for half an hour to warm up, it was only an hour until lunch so we chilled out for a bit and finished our last load of washing. We went as soon as we heard the drums, it was obvious by now that the drums meant feeding time.
The food here is a lot nicer than the food at Safe Landing Resort. We got talking to a couple and their friend, Rene, Clay and Marco. We started telling them about Chin Chin and the mouse which turned out to be a mistake as Rene was petrified of them. We could see tears welling up in her eyes as we told her.
Lunch finished at 2 and we sat talking to them until about 3. Then we went back and finished the last load of our washing. Finally we will have clean fresh clothes! There wasn't much else to do in the day so we chilled out playing on our iPad then Chris insisted we went for afternoon tea at 4pm. It was free so he made at least three cups of tea!
Later on we just caught the sun setting on the horizon, I think it would have been a really nice one if we had made it but we came too late. The staff had written the wrong time on the board! We went back to our room and chilled out again before getting showered and ready for dinner. It wasn't nice having a cold shower in the dark, for some reason they don't turn on the bathroom lights until later in the evening although they run the power in the rooms for twenty four hours.
We decided to stay up and watch the staff put on a fire show after dinner. It was very funny, two of the guys were very good at it. One was learning and kept setting himself on fire and making funny noises, we think he was swearing in fijian. The other guy was an old man and was absolutely awful! He looked like he was going to knock himself out while setting himself on fire any second. Once they finished their routine we got to watch them do it again for a photographer, it was just as funny the second time around. We didn't want to stay up so went to back to our room and had an early night again.
