Today we had booked a long tail boat trip to take us to the 4 islands.
It was only £20 each so it was cheap enough, we were used to being quite lazy though so when we had to get up quick early to make sure we were on time became abit of a struggle.
But we made it, for once!
They picked us up and we headed into the old town to get the boat.
There was about 10 of us in total and it was about an hour ride to the first location.
I forget the names of where we actually visited but the first spot was a snorkelling bit near some big limestone rocks, the snorkelling was awesome and we saw loads of fish and considering this was our first time snorkelling since we've been travelling we were pretty excited.
After 1/2 hour we got back onto the boat and sat out on the front to do abit of sunbathing,
A short journey later and we were at our next snorkelling location, this also had amazing snorkelling and it was cool to just swim off away from everyone to try and see some fishies!
The next place it took us was to the Emerald cave, they made us jump into the water from he boat as they had to turn around quickly and so didn't have time to put the steps down.
This horrified me and i was just sat on the edge of the boat for a while really not wanting to do it.
But i was forced to into the end and this made me very sad, i got water up my nose :-(
We had to just hang around the entrance of the cave whilst we waited for everyone and then we made our way through, we were warned it was dark but it was literally pitch black, you really would think they would put some lights in there!
The guide had a torch but we were infront of him as he was taking ages so we were just kind of struggling to find our way through without banging our feet against the rocks, it was interesting!!
But we made it through eventually and ended up on a little beach! It was amazing and totally unexpected. Apparently its where pirates used to keep there treasure.
The water was crystal clear so we spent our time in there just having a paddle and messing about with the go pro.
Then we had to head back out, the guide warned us it was high tide so had to watch our heads on the rocks, this mortified me! What if it came up too high and drowned us?! Well needless to say i have never swam so fast in my life and considering the current was quite strong i was very impressed of how quickly i managed to get out and get back onto the boat. I may have accidentally kicked a few people but they shouldn't have been so close!
Once on the boat the guide offered us some fresh pineapple and watermelon nom nom and we headed to the final destination… a beach. yay so we could just chill!
But now me and James cant really chill without getting restless so we spent our time climbing trees and chasing crabs, standard beach behaviour!
They made us some lunch of curry and rice, it was delicious!
The boat ride back seemed a lot quicker and we sat on the front of the boat to sunbath again, as not to waste the sun time!
In the evening we headed to the drunken sailor for some food and a hot chocolate! and then went just down the road to a bar called 'Why Not' it was rated really well and the atmosphere was awesome, all the barmen were dancing around and singing. We stayed for a drink but were both pretty tired so missed the live band and headed back to bed!
