Packed up the loan caravan (so glad this is the last time we pack up this trip!) and drove to the dealer to pick up our caravan.
We were there for a few hours checking over the work that we had done and transferring what we had taken to the loan caravan back to ours. We finally headed back to the caravan park and spent the afternoon reorganising and decorating our new home with our new brightly coloured furnishings we have bought this week - towels, sheets, carpets, curtains, cushions. We also got rid of more of our stuff and finally, as evening set in, we looked at each other and said that it's finally starting to feel like home. It's not that we are not grateful to have been able to replace our caravan with a brand new one, but somehow the brand new did not feel like home until we had put our own stamp on it. We even tried putting cellophane over a couple of the LED lights as they are so stark white it doesn't make the inside feel cosy at night.
So, hopping into bed tonight, with the TV on, curtain pulled around to make a cosy little bedroom, it finally feels like home. What a relief and a blessing. It's just over three weeks since our accident and our caravan being written off, and while it has been stressful and challenging, we have finally reached the end and we have our own little home on wheels again. We are now ready to make some new memories on the road in our new caravan. Watch out WA, here we come.
On that note, time to go to sleep. We are off south tomorrow to explore the Margaret River area for 10'dYa before winter truly sets in and it is too cold to be fun.
Night night xx
