Decided this morning to stay another night here in Esperance and leave first thing tomorrow.
This gives us time today to pack up our last belongings, fill out paperwork at the freight place and say thank you in person to the repairer who finally did write our report.
After we finished packing and the caravan was totally emptied and cleaned to the best of our ability, we placed our keys in the drawer, took a final few last photos and closed the door on our little home on wheels.
It was really sad leaving our caravan for the last time, and although we are happy with the result, obviously we would prefer it never happened. Lesson: insurance is vital, it is so important to read the fine print and make sure you are covered properly - which we are.
After finalising the freight, we drove to the foreshore to eat a picnic lunch, checking out the pop up food trucks (coffee!) and then drove along the Great Ocean Drive again to see Esperance's glorious beaches in the sunshine. Late afternoon we went to the Jetty Cafe to while away some time on the lovely verandah and enjoy some well deserved relaxation away from the stress of the last 6 days.
Good news! We will be going to a Passover Seder in Perth in a couple of days, which is lovely as we are far away from home and family during the festival of Passover.
Early to bed tonight and we hope to hit the road early (if we can get up!) tomorrow.
Good night xx
